Local
Rules of Play
|
|
USGA
rules will apply except for the
following local rules.
|
- If
carts are 90 degrees, you will
play the ball as it lies. If
carts are on the path, you will
play the preferred lie in your
own fairway. Players may lift,
clean and place 1 club length
no closer to the hole.
- Water
hazards are defined by yellow
stakes, lateral hazards by red
stakes and out of bounds by
white stakes. Hazards are only
marked just well enough to define
what type of hazard it is. Use
the marsh edge and the edge
of the bulkheads and bridges
to determine the actual hazard
boundary. If your ball is up
against a bulkhead or bridge,
it is considered not in the
hazard and you may take a drop
without penalty. If any hazard
is defined by a painted line,
that line will define the hazard
and supercede all else.
- Embedded
ball rule, through the green.
- One
ball rule is not in effect.
- Drop
areas are provided on holes
# 7, 9, 15 and 17 for the men
and holes # 7, 8 and 14 for
the women.
- Hole
# 7:
Men who hit their tee shot in
the first marsh from the blue
or white tee may use a drop
area located on the gold tee.
Men who hit a shot into the
second marsh can use the drop
only if they hit their ball
into the hazard last crossing
the area marked by the yellow
stakes. Their drop area is on
the fairway side of the marsh
near the bulkhead.
Ladies have 2 drop areas on
this hole and can use them if
they hit into the hazard last
crossing the area marked in
yellow. If it is their tee shot
that goes into the hazard, they
must use the drop area on the
fairway side. Any shot other
than the tee shot they may use
the drop provided on the green
side of the marsh.
- Yardage
markers are considered immovable
obstructions. Proceed under
rule 24 - 2.
- French
drains are lift, clean and place.
- All
roads are out of bounds. Ex,
- If you are playing # 15 and
hit it over the green onto #
16 tee, you are out of bounds
even though you are still on
the golf course.
